Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Node Engineer with strong experience in backend development and a passion for creating modern, scalable applications. As part of a dedicated team, you’ll work on mission-critical platforms that serve millions of users and data points.

This is a remote role that values autonomy, ownership, and innovation. You’ll be 100% focused on one project at a time, working alongside senior engineers in a supportive and agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and develop scalable backend services using Node.js, Express, and MongoDB
Implement RESTful APIs and serverless solutions using AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices and documentation standards
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture planning
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, designers, and DevOps engineers
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications
Continuously improve system performance, security, and scalability
Contribute to our remote-first culture by engaging in team activities and knowledge-sharing sessions

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years of professional software development experience
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and Node.js
Experience with Express.js, MongoDB, and API development
Familiarity with serverless computing using AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, microservices, and deployment strategies
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Advanced English communication skills (both written and verbal)
Empathy, collaboration, and problem-solving mindset
Self-starter with a proactive approach to challenges

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)

Exposure to industries like Logistics, FinTech, Transportation, Insurance, or Media
Experience with GraphQL or real-time systems (e.g., WebSockets)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
