Job Overview

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and result-oriented Sales Marketing Executive to join our growing team in Kandy. This role is focused on the sales of passenger vehicles and is ideal for professionals from sectors such as banking, insurance, or other service-oriented industries who are looking to transition into a dynamic and fast-paced automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with walk-in and referred customers to assess their automotive needs and recommend suitable vehicles.
  • Product Demonstration: Organize and conduct vehicle presentations, test drives, and walkthroughs to highlight features, safety, and value.
  • Lead Generation: Utilize a range of channels including social media, events, referrals, and promotions to generate and nurture leads.
  • Sales Targets: Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets through focused planning and execution.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging consumer preferences to optimize the sales approach.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure a superior buying experience by maintaining professionalism, timely follow-ups, and transparent communication.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with support departments such as Finance, Delivery, and After-Sales to ensure a smooth end-to-end sales process.
  • Brand Promotion: Represent the company at roadshows, exhibitions, and promotional events to increase visibility and build brand awareness.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and inventory status through CRM systems and reports.

Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive, banking, or insurance sectors.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a competitive environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and either Sinhala or Tamil.
  • High level of confidence, motivation, and a persuasive personality.
  • Skilled in consultative selling and solution-based approach.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
  • Competent in using CRM systems, MS Office, and digital sales platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional demeanor with a passion for customer service and brand loyalty.

Working Hours and Environment

  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, with Saturday rotations as per company policy.
