As a Principal Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping future-ready solutions powered by Generative AI and advanced machine learning.
Position Summary
As the Principal Engineer – Machine Learning, you will serve as the technical authority across critical AI and data science initiatives. You will lead solution design, development, and deployment of AI/ML-powered systems and work closely with clients, internal consultants, and development teams to bring intelligent solutions to life. Your deep expertise in Generative AI, cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP), NLP, computer vision, and machine learning operations (MLOps) will be instrumental in delivering scalable and sustainable AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead AI Initiatives: Architect and implement AI/ML solutions for industrial automation, with a focus on Generative AI in vision, audio, and text domains.
- Model Development: Design, develop, and deploy models using deep learning techniques such as CNNs, RNNs, GANs, Transformers, and GPT-based architectures.
- Technology Architecture: Build end-to-end AI systems, including data pipelines, model training and validation, inference engines, and monitoring frameworks.
- Generative AI Expertise: Apply advanced generative modeling techniques using tools like Hugging Face, LangChain, Azure OpenAI, Google Generative AI Studio, and AWS Bedrock.
- Cloud Integration: Collaborate with cloud architects to deploy scalable AI systems on Azure, AWS, and GCP, including containerized solutions and edge deployment.
- MLOps: Utilize platforms such as Kubeflow, MLFlow, and CI/CD pipelines to manage model lifecycle, reproducibility, and deployments.
- Data Strategy: Work with structured and unstructured data from SQL/NoSQL systems like MongoDB, Redis, and Cassandra, integrating them with AI/ML systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with product managers, business analysts, and domain experts to translate business challenges into AI opportunities.
- Technical Mentorship: Provide guidance and review code/designs from junior engineers, contributing to upskilling efforts within the team.
- Agile Delivery: Work in an Agile environment using tools such as JIRA to ensure timely, quality delivery of projects.
- Client Engagement: Present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, contribute to pre-sales activities, and offer AI expertise in customer meetings.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI.
- Strong hands-on experience in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Pandas, Scikit-learn, OpenCV, TorchVision, etc.
- In-depth experience with Natural Language Processing using libraries such as NLTK, Gensim, spaCy, or CoreNLP.
- Solid experience in Generative AI, foundational models (GPT-3.5/4, LLAMA, Stable Diffusion), and framework tools like Hugging Face, LangChain, and Google Gen AI Studio.
- Strong knowledge of cloud ecosystems – at least one from AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Demonstrated capability in implementing MLOps practices with Kubeflow, MLflow, and cloud-native tools.
- Familiarity with Industrial IoT, edge AI deployments, and integration with enterprise systems (SAP, MES, ERP).
- Prior experience as a technical lead in domains such as manufacturing, automotive, robotics, or heavy industry.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with hybrid AI systems combining computer vision and NLP.
- Strong foundational understanding of data governance, AI ethics, and responsible AI principles.
- Familiarity with 5G, S/4 HANA, Digital Twins, or industrial-grade automation platforms is a plus.
- Certification in cloud AI tools (Azure AI Engineer, AWS Machine Learning Specialty, etc.) is desirable.

Compensation
Base Salary Range: $100,000 – $140,000 annually
Performance Bonus: Based on project and organizational success
Location Flexibility: Open to candidates globally, with preference for Pakistan-based professionals
