Position Level	Executive
Type 1 Responsibility	Manage one store plus supervise up to 5 additional stores
Type 2 Responsibility	Supervise up to 15 stores
Reports To	Division Chairperson / President or SVP Dir of Stores
Key Goal	Ensure uniform execution of division direction
Sales Responsibility	Achieve or exceed sales and profit plans
Customer Goals	Meet or exceed Customer First goals in all stores
Merchandising Standards	Maintain Belk visual and merchandising standards
Promotions	Timely floor setup for promotional and seasonal activities
Loss Prevention	Control shrinkage and ensure loss prevention measures
Price Integrity	Enforce correct pricing and complete price changes on time
Expense Budget	Create and manage annual expense budgets
Payroll Control	Monitor payroll and non-payroll expenses
Staffing	Ensure adequate staffing to meet customer service expectations
People Development	Conduct reviews, set goals, and fill openings promptly
Communication	Maintain high morale through clear and timely communication
Job Surveys	Conduct Job Information Surveys every 12–18 months
Education Required	Four-year college degree
Education Preferred	Advanced degree
Experience Required	Five to ten years in retail management
Experience Preferred	Store management experience
Skills	Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access
Analytical Ability	Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
Physical Requirement 1	Ability to travel
Physical Requirement 2	Ability to use computer and business equipment
