About the Role:
Lkcareers is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Business Manager – Health & Nutrition and Natural Resources to lead its operations and business development initiatives in the Health & Nutrition and Natural Resources sectors. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing business plans, fostering innovation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering measurable commercial success. The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background, extensive managerial experience, and a vision for driving excellence in Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Business Planning
- Translate high-level corporate strategies into actionable business plans across service lines.
- Oversee execution of key projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Analyze sector trends to forecast market developments and inform strategic direction.
- Market Development & Innovation
- Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities in health, nutrition, and environmental services.
- Develop innovative products and services aligned with client demand and technological advancements.
- Conduct feasibility studies for expansion projects and service diversification.
- Competitive Positioning & Branding
- Create and implement go-to-market strategies to strengthen Lkcareers’ market presence.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance brand visibility across target segments.
- Promote the company’s capabilities at industry events, client meetings, and public platforms.
- Commercial & Client Management
- Lead negotiations with local and international clients, ensuring favorable contract terms and compliance.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships through high-quality service delivery and responsiveness.
- Monitor client satisfaction and implement improvements based on feedback and performance reviews.
- Technical & Operational Oversight
- Ensure resource availability including skilled personnel, technical equipment, and raw materials.
- Provide technical expertise in Chemistry, Microbiology, and environmental services.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operational workflows.
- Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Uphold Quality Management Systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards (e.g., ISO, HACCP).
- Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety policies to protect employees and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct across all teams.
- Team Development & Leadership
- Inspire and lead a multidisciplinary team of professionals toward shared goals.
- Implement mentorship programs to enhance employee skillsets and career growth.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics, regularly evaluating team performance.
Candidate Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field is essential.
- An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in operational and managerial roles, preferably within the TIC (Testing, Inspection, and Certification) industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in business development, including market analysis, product launches, and revenue growth.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to manage relationships with high-profile clients and government agencies.
- Experience in managing complex projects, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
