About the Role

We are currently seeking an energetic and purpose-driven Human Resource Intern / Management Trainee to join our growing HR team. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates in Human Resources who are looking to gain hands-on experience across a broad spectrum of people-centric initiatives—especially in talent acquisition, career guidance, and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities.

This 6-month internship will provide you with practical exposure to the entire employee lifecycle, stakeholder engagement, university outreach, and event planning in a high-growth tech startup. You’ll work closely with the HR leadership team to build a talent pipeline and develop initiatives that shape the future of careers for young professionals.


Key Responsibilities

🔍 Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

  • Assist with lateral hiring by sourcing candidates via LinkedIn, online job boards, and internal networks.
  • Coordinate and execute graduate recruitment drives in collaboration with public and private universities.
  • Participate in candidate screening, resume shortlisting, and coordination of interviews.
  • Maintain and update candidate databases and recruitment dashboards.

🎓 University Engagement & Career Development

  • Organize and manage career guidance sessions and career fairs at universities, technical institutes, and schools.
  • Build strong relationships with university career centers, faculty members, and student bodies.
  • Represent OXO Tech at student events and create awareness of available internship and graduate opportunities.
  • Coordinate logistics and content for career talks, company presentations, and career counseling sessions.

🌐 CSR & Community Outreach

  • Design and implement CSR activities aligned with OXO Tech’s values and social impact goals.
  • Assist in organizing webinars and online panels with industry experts focused on career development.
  • Support the planning and execution of community projects in collaboration with educational and corporate stakeholders.

🎥 Content Development & Branding

  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce video documentaries and digital content promoting career guidance and CSR initiatives.
  • Contribute to social media campaigns highlighting company culture, HR events, and success stories.
  • Help develop HR marketing materials and brochures for recruitment and outreach purposes.

🧠 Career Guidance Facilitation

  • Undergo comprehensive training in a scientific career guidance model, and assist in helping students identify suitable career paths.
  • Conduct one-on-one or group sessions (with supervision) to support university students and recent graduates in mapping career opportunities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in organizing events, university projects, or student clubs is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn or applicant tracking systems is a plus.

Work Arrangement & Location

  • Hybrid Work Model: Minimum of 2 days per week at our Colombo 08 office. Remaining days are remote work.
