Internal Audit Executive – Galle
About the Role
A reputed, diversified agribusiness organization located in Galle seeks a skilled Internal Audit Executive. This opportunity is offered through Therighttalent, a leading recruitment firm in Sri Lanka.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Internal Audit team in formulating and executing the annual audit plan.
- Evaluate internal control mechanisms to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Undertake audit assignments, including site visits, according to the scheduled audit plan.
- Present audit findings to the Board Audit Committee and the Board Risk & Compliance Committee within designated timeframes.
- Track and report progress on previously communicated audit observations and recommendations.
- Participate in the development and execution of audit procedures and assessments.
- Ensure timely completion of audit tasks, especially fieldwork, in alignment with internal deadlines.
- Assist in drafting structured reports and summaries for board-level review.
- Monitor corrective actions related to past audit findings for continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Part-qualified in CA, CIMA, or ACCA, or fully completed professional qualifications.
- A bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- At least three years of relevant experience in a reputable audit firm; exposure to the plantation sector will be considered an asset.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
