Sales Engineer – CodeGen Solar
About the Role
CodeGen Solar is looking for a driven and technically skilled Sales Engineer to support our expansion in the solar energy sector. This role combines technical knowledge with consultative sales expertise to deliver customized solar energy solutions to residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple sectors
- Perform site inspections, load analyses, and energy audits
- Design and propose tailored solar PV system solutions
- Create and present detailed proposals, including technical specifications and pricing
- Clearly explain system components, performance expectations, and financial benefits
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure feasibility and optimal system design
- Manage client relationships through the sales process to closing
- Track leads, client interactions, and sales performance metrics
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets
- Provide technical guidance and support after installation to ensure satisfaction
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in solar PV systems or technical sales
- In-depth understanding of solar technologies, including on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid systems
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
