Position Summary

The Junior Video Editor Internship is an ideal position for aspiring creatives who are passionate about storytelling, visual content, and post-production. This role will provide hands-on experience in video editing, motion graphics creation, and video color grading. Working closely with the creative and production teams, you will support the execution of multimedia projects from raw footage to finalized content. This is a full-time, on-site internship located in Kandy, offering valuable exposure to real-world editing workflows and client-driven media production.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing
- Assist with editing raw video footage using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent editing software.
- Assemble footage into a polished final product that aligns with the creative brief and brand tone.
- Apply basic transitions, text overlays, and video effects to enhance viewer engagement.
Motion Graphics & Visual Design
- Collaborate with senior designers to create motion graphics and animated assets.
- Use tools such as After Effects to produce dynamic title animations, lower-thirds, and visual effects.
- Contribute to the creation of short-form social media videos and marketing reels.
Color Grading
- Perform basic to intermediate video color correction and grading to ensure visual consistency.
- Utilize tools like DaVinci Resolve or Lumetri Color for visual enhancement and mood setting.
Collaboration & Project Management
- Work closely with the production and marketing teams to ensure video content meets expectations.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input on storytelling and concept development.
- Follow internal processes and timelines for review and approval cycles.
Brand Alignment
- Ensure all content aligns with All In One Holdings’ brand guidelines and quality standards.
- Stay up to date with video trends, social media formats, and digital storytelling methods.

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Film, Multimedia, Digital Media, or a related field.
Foundational experience in video editing, either through coursework, freelance projects, or personal content creation.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop).
Basic understanding of video formats, frame rates, codecs, and media workflows.
Skills in visual storytelling and structuring narrative content from raw footage.
A strong portfolio (can include academic or personal projects).

Preferred Skills

Experience in YouTube or social media video content production.
Familiarity with audio editing tools (Audition, GarageBand, etc.).
Creative problem-solving mindset and ability to receive and apply feedback constructively.
Basic scripting/storyboarding skills.
Passion for visual storytelling and digital marketing.

Soft Skills

Detail-oriented with a strong visual eye.
Team player who collaborates well with cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Work Environment & Schedule

This internship is based on-site at our Kandy office.
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Occasional extended hours may be required based on project needs.

Compensation

A monthly internship stipend ranging from LKR 30,000 – 45,000, depending on experience and skills.
Additional support for transport and meals may be considered for exceptional candidates.
