Position Summary:
We are currently looking for a highly competent Senior Audit Executive to join our internal audit team. This is a critical role responsible for conducting detailed internal audits, evaluating financial risks, and ensuring full compliance with both internal policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and execute comprehensive internal audit assignments across various departments.
Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, processes, and procedures.
Ensure organizational compliance with applicable standards, policies, regulations, and legislation.
Review financial statements, reports, and documentation to identify inconsistencies or inefficiencies.
Analyze business operations and identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
Evaluate risk management protocols and offer guidance on risk mitigation strategies.
Prepare detailed audit reports that summarize findings and recommendations for corrective actions.
Present audit results to management and support the implementation of improvement measures.
Act as a mentor and guide to junior auditors and audit associates, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.
Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure audit findings are fully understood and addressed.
Stay up-to-date with industry standards, audit trends, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
Professional certification such as CA (Chartered Accountant), ACCA, or CIMA is highly preferred.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in auditing, internal controls, or financial analysis.
Strong knowledge of auditing principles, internal controls, risk assessment, and accounting standards.
Proficient in the use of audit tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is an added advantage.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday – 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Hybrid schedule negotiable)

Salary Range:
LKR 180,000 – 250,000 (Based on experience and qualifications)
