Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD Jewellery Designer to develop precise, high-quality jewellery designs using specialized computer-aided design software. In this role, you will transform creative concepts into detailed, production-ready technical drawings that reflect Dakuna’s commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.

This is a hybrid position that combines remote flexibility with in-person collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of aesthetics, technical drawing skills, and proficiency in CAD tools, along with a sound understanding of jewellery production processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed 2D and 3D jewellery designs using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., Rhino, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, etc.).
  • Develop accurate technical and construction drawings to guide production and ensure feasibility of design concepts.
  • Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and production staff to refine prototypes and resolve design challenges.
  • Modify and improve existing jewellery designs based on feedback and manufacturing requirements.
  • Participate in brainstorming and design review sessions to ensure alignment with creative direction and technical standards.
  • Maintain design files, manage version control, and ensure documentation is clear and production-ready.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to quality, brand identity, and functional standards, including stone placement, metal thickness, and structural durability.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, CAD innovations, and materials to suggest improvements and new design approaches.
  • Contribute to the development of sustainable practices in design and production workflows.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in leading CAD jewellery design software (such as Rhino, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, or equivalent).
  • Strong technical drawing ability and understanding of construction drawings and design engineering principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Jewellery Design, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in CAD jewellery design or equivalent industry experience.
  • Familiarity with the entire design-to-production pipeline, including casting, stone setting, and polishing.
  • Excellent eye for detail, creativity, and spatial visualization.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, especially in hybrid team settings.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with 3D printing technologies or rapid prototyping.
  • Understanding of sustainability principles in jewellery production.
  • Experience working in a luxury goods or high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of gemology and various stone-setting techniques.
