Position: Business Development Manager – Corporate
We’re looking for a driven and energetic Business Development Manager – Corporate to join our team at Shangri-La Colombo – a luxury hotel with amazing ocean views and direct access to One Galle Face Mall. With 541 rooms and top-notch event spaces, it’s the place to be in the heart of the city.
What You’ll Do:
- Find and grow new business opportunities for both our Colombo and Hambantota properties
- Build strong connections with corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners
- Create smart sales strategies to bring in more corporate guests
- Work with marketing and revenue teams to get pricing and promotions just right
- Keep an eye on market trends and competitors
- Represent Shangri-La at events and build our brand presence
- Negotiate deals and contracts with clients
- Track sales results and suggest ways to improve
- Look for new ways to grow our business and keep our offerings fresh
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in luxury hotels
- A strong sales mindset and passion for finding new business
- Great people skills – building relationships and negotiating deals is your thing
- Knowledge of the Sri Lankan market and trends in the hospitality world
- Good with data and strategy – you like to plan ahead and spot opportunities
- Able to juggle tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
