Business Development Executive – Apparel & Product Innovation (Flat Knit)

Job Overview:
We’re looking for a proactive and innovative Business Development Executive to help us identify new product and market opportunities within the flat-knit apparel sector. This role blends market research, product development, and strategic customer engagement to turn data into actionable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and evaluate potential product categories and market segments for flat-knit innovation
  • Conduct consumer studies and gather insights on preferences, price sensitivity, and product usage
  • Work alongside innovation teams to collect data, review materials, and explore new concepts
  • Develop project timelines that cover material sourcing and product prototyping
  • Validate raw materials and fabrics to align with business goals and end-user expectations
  • Collaborate with sample room and tech teams to manage development timelines and ensure feasibility
  • Support pricing strategies by preparing cost sheets and negotiating production terms
  • Liaise with designers to create compelling product presentations and marketing assets
  • Engage with internal and external value chain leaders to promote and pitch new product concepts
  • Lead risk assessments and ensure product viability based on consumption, lead times, and production capacity

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field
  • 3–4 years of experience in the apparel industry with exposure to business development or product marketing
  • Understanding of flat knitting technology, fabric innovation, and costing structures
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience working directly with international apparel brands
  • Prior involvement in consumer research and trend analysis within fashion or textiles
