About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Management Accountant to join our dynamic team in Negombo. As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding business decisions through financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning. You will collaborate with senior management to ensure the efficient management of the company’s financial resources, offering insightful reports and recommendations that influence both short-term operations and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts, providing insights into financial performance.
- Conduct cost analysis and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Develop and monitor budgets, ensuring adherence to financial plans and forecasts.
- Support in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity, recommending solutions to optimize cash management.
- Work with department heads to align departmental budgets with organizational goals and financial objectives.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for tracking operational efficiency.
- Assist in financial modeling and forecasting to aid strategic business planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or CPA (completed or nearing completion).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management accounting or financial analysis role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, etc.) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and cost management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
